Proceedings of a Workshop on County Hydrology Manuals

The Water Resources Center of the University of California at Davis sponsored a workshop addressing the issue of county hydrology manuals. The purpose of the workshop was to bring together people who have an interest in “county-level” hydrologic techniques and policies. The authors of the papers are engineers and hydrologists responsible for the development of county flood control procedures, consultants involved in flood control system design, and academcis investigating new approaches and procedures. Topics covered include sample master-plans of drainage, descriptions of detention basin design procedures and rational method runoff calculations, HEC procedures, hydrology and the law and current trends in rainfall-runoff modeling, among others.
